I have to... I am sorry, but I just gotta.
I am a Christian. I believe that Christ died and was ressurected. What do you say to that?

I don't agree. Theory of evolution seems a lot more believable to me.

I that Christ died and was ressurected but thats about it.
I'm all for evolution. I mean there is more evidence that a book. If books are proof to everything where are the fauns and aliens and visected animals/humans?
And people where never monkeys, ever. They where monkey like but never monkeys.
Another thing is it is enterily impossable to have so many diverse human begins with only two people. If Adam and Eve wherer the only two people we'd all be horibly horibly inbred. We'd have toes coming out of places they shouldnt be.
I'm sorry if that is blunt but thats just how I think.

Shadowcather: Why don't you agree?
Shadowfax: Then, you really don't believe that Christ died and resurected again. You can't just take bits and pieces and believe only what you want to believe. It is not impossible with the diversity of people. People adapt to their climates that they live in. That goes along with skin pigment. Skin pigment will change depending on where you live. (That arguement is lost, my Mom is a comsotologist and did all that kind of talk and stuff where she went to school) Books are proof. An encyclopedia is proof of history. THe Bible just goes farther back and tells pointed stories and truths. How do we know that there aren't aliens? I give you that because I wonder the same thing. I think that there is other life but none anywhere near as intellegent as ours. As for the fauns: Man admited to their creation. THat man created them, himself.

Why don't I agree? I do agree a lot with Shadowfax's post. There is more evidence of evolution than of the other. I just don't see how we can take a single book and believe everything that's written in it. Maybe that's because my family was never very religious, but I'm more likely to believe the finds of science, which at least feel concrete. And what you said about the encyclopediea... we know who wrote that. How do we know who wrote the bible? We have to take someone's word for it. I'd rather beleive in something I can see than something that takes blind faith.
Also, the theory of Adam and Eve kinda creeps me out. I'd not like to think that we all came from, even distantly, the same two people. In breeding is somewhat against nature, so what would be the point of beginning human life with it? If animals evolved from ancient forms of themselves, why couldn't humans? Maybe we don't like to think we're somewhat "related" to monkeys, because monkeys are supposed to be animals. I'd rather be related to a monkey than think my ancestors were inbred.
So.... that's about my answer.
