Are the teen magazines the cause of most female teenage issues such as cutting , aneraxia , beulemia (sp) , ect. ?
I think that the food problem and the unhealthy diets in magazines re the problem. For girls who can't look at Mary-Kate and say -sick ! that girl needs weight !- and not - god i have to look that skinny.- then yes. If poeple are seeing skinny stars , or female celebs with watermelon sized breast , and doing things to themselves then yes , i would have to say magazines are mainly the cause . Along wiht other intertainment (tv/movies, ect.)

I agree with you, I think the magazines part of the problem, but it is also peer pressure and the way this society is too

I think it depends on the person reading the magizine. I mean if I see something like that I'm just like 'plastic surgery' 'photoshop' yada, yada, yada. But if somebody who is into all that stuff would be more likly to submit to the magizines and peer pressure and all that kind of stuff. I wonder if that made any sense at all *scratches head*

I agrea with appy its the person not the magazine. Its the same with video gamers, if you cant tell fansty from reality dont read the magazine.

I think it also has to do with the magazine a bit, because they make such a big deal about beauty.a
