I'm all for it. I don't agree with poaching, which many people confuse with hunting.

Personaly I'm against it. I dont normaly speak against it if its the right season or such but I am against it.
I do get ticked off with people who poach, dont kill an animal right away(ie hit it where it wont die quickly and dont bother to track it), or shoot every fliping thing that moves.
My biggest urk is when people think that if an animal kills a person it should be put to death right away, hence this quote I base my argument upon: "How is it that when a man kills a beast it is considered sport but when a a beast kills a man it is consitered savegry?"
Personaly I think now that there is no realy need to hunt(if we had left the animals alone when we needed to there would be no need to hunt) that we shouldnt. After all, all we are realy doing to setting our selves up to make a fool of ourselves(yet again)

I can see where your coming from and if I didn't know what I know about hunting I would probaaly agree with you, however my brother is an avid hunter. I don't beleive shooting somthing without a reason, I mean, If your not going to eat it why destroy it? But on the other hand there are also good sides: I know where I live there is already an over population of deer(just using deer as an example), so if it wasn't for hunters imagine the over population we would have on certian animals. But as I said before I absolutly detest animals being killed without reason, even those that are over populated.

I wouldn't say I'm for it, but I don't have a problem with it. True, it would be more easily justified if we didn't have commercially supplied food, but if you eat what you kill there's nothing wrong about it. Deer and turkey and such aren't endangered, they're in no danger of dying out. As long as it's done responsibly, I say go have fun.

I have gone deer hunting. And I promise you, we didn't go out again until everything was used up the the deer we got. And we used almost everything. I don't like poaching. But as for hunting, I'm not against.

There are people in my family who hunt everday and bag all the deer they can. There's even one who has poached several times(he got caught this time he killed like 7 deer) so thats part of the reason behind my side.
I do relize that there are overpopulation(like in Mich) but I know at least here the overpopulation is because all the deer where killed off.

Depends...on saturday I was visiting the horse I ride at about 9:00 and when I just stroking him a gunshot pretty close to his pasture. We both where very suprised and I just stood there for a minute in shock.
If there is an overpopulation I don't mind it and if it is hunting season I don't mind it. I hate hunting in any other time though.

im nutural (sp) . I think for some types of hunting, it's ok. Shooting with rifles, if your good and can give the animal a clean shot , and a painless death is alright . i am FULLY against bow-hunting, although i REALLY enjoy archery .
